The Parliament hosting the Minister of transportation for closing their office at the airport
Eye/ The Minister of transportation Amer Abdul-Jabar has confirmed on that the Parliament have hosted him in one of his sessions, due to that he ahs closed their office in the airport.
A statement of the NMC, which Eye Media has received a copy of, said that Abdul-Jabar has illustrated in a release for him that the reasons behind the Parliament hosting for him in one of their sessions, was due to his decision with closing the Parliament office in the airport.
He confirmed on that he has forwarded a message to the Minister of the state for the Parliament affairs to postpone the hosting date, as that he is presiding a commission to facilitate the pilgrims traveling process.
Amer has illustrated that it is not possible to put more than one office at the airport, adding that the closed office does not have civil certificate for flying, and that the ministry have opened an office respective with the Parliamentarians traveling at Al-Rasheed hotel to facilitate the traveling process for them.
Whether about the pilgrims retardation at the airport for two or three days, the Minister said that the ministry of transportation is not responsible for that, due to that the airplanes are rented by the Hajj and Omra authority, so the Minister has confirmed on that the ministry has signed a convention with Iran to send flights to Mashhad city regarding from 1/1/2009, besides sending 5 flights per week. Indicating to that the ministry have approached the international insurance companies to decrease the insurance to 50%.
The minister has detected of a visit that a delegation from France will make to Iraq, for the purpose of common collaboration between the two countries in the field of flying.
