Eye / Iraq and Portugal agreed on enhancing the scopes of bilateral economical cooperation. Member of Iraqi Businessmen Union's board Emad Jawad said.
Media National Center's statement quoted Emad as saying" Iraq has signed with Portugal a protocol in which a joint council to enhance the economical cooperation and activate investment between the two parties".
He added" the protocol has been signed between the Union and Portuguese – Arab Industrial & Commercial Chambers in Lisbon, it comes to enhance the cooperation and the commercial, economical and investment exchange as an important sector to encourage and activate the growth of economical exchange between the two countries, it takes into consideration the importance of creating economical ties of bilateral interest for both and inventing new methods to enhance the cooperation.
Member of the board referred that the protocol would include commercial & economical forums and establishing special fares in Baghdad & Lisbon, adding to that exchanging visit among heads of firms at both two countries, indicating that the protocol stipulates holding two meetings a year, one in Iraq and the second in Portugal.
